Hot take: I sift flour now and I blamed my grandma for 20 years
Grandma never sifted and her biscuits came out fine, so I skipped it too, right up until a lumpy batch of pancakes in 2019. Turns out her flour sat in a tin for weeks and mine comes straight off the shelf at Kroger, so now the $9 sifter earns its keep.
