My stand mixer walked off the counter during a birthday cake and I caught it with my knee
I was making a chocolate cake for my kid's 7th birthday in our kitchen in Boise and cranked the speed to high too fast, so the whole mixer hopped off the counter and I caught it on my knee, which now has a bruise the size of a plum. The cake still came out fine but the frosting looked like I applied it with a spatula in the dark. Should I just buy a heavier bowl next time or clamp the thing down?

Boise kitchens don't need clamps, just slow down and scrape the bowl with a real spatula.
