Tried a new sourdough starter recipe from a book and it worked way better than my old one from a blog.

My starter from a blog post is basically a science experiment at this point. It might be growing a new life form. Books seem to have that magic touch, while the internet just gives me a sad, hungry jar of goo.

Honestly I've had the total opposite experience lol. My best starter came from a random blog years ago, it's a beast. Books can be hit or miss too, they just feel more legit sometimes.

My starter from a blog is so weak it basically just sighs when I feed it. I'm with @tyler_mason29, mine looks like a failed science project too. Maybe I should just give up and buy a book, my jar of sad goo is getting judgmental. What's the best book you guys have tried?
