I used to swear by guide combs for every trim. Seeing those barbers in Lisbon changed my whole approach. Now I freehand the neckline and it comes out straighter. How is that even possible without a guide?

Watched a barber freehand a fade once and it changed my game too. My lines got way cleaner once I stopped relying on combs for everything. It's all about practice and trusting your eye, lol.

So you're saying the freehand neckline actually looks straighter? What's the biggest difference you notice in the final shape compared to when you used a comb? I'm trying to picture the hand motion.
