Had to pick between two clipper sets for my new chair in Portland
I opened my own spot last month and needed to buy my main clippers. It came down to the Wahl Magic Clips or the Andis Masters. I went with the Masters because they felt heavier and stronger in my hand. After a month of cuts, they handle thick hair really well but my wrist gets tired on longer fades. Anyone else run into this with heavy clippers, or got tips to make it easier?

Oh man, the Masters are total bricks. That weight is a double-edged sword for sure. You build up some grip strength over time, but for longer sessions, I had to change how I hold them. Try letting the clipper rest more in your palm instead of a tight finger grip, and use your other hand to support your wrist during the fade. Makes a stupid difference.

That palm grip tip from @matthew_adams sounds smart... you still using the stock blade on your Masters or did you switch it out?

Saw a barber on YouTube talking about this exact thing. He said the stock blade is fine for bulk removal but holds heat like crazy. Swapping to a ceramic blade changed the whole game for me, way less drag and cooler cuts. The weight still sucks for detail work though, you really need that palm grip trick. My hand used to cramp up after two fades.
