Heads up on those online barbering courses from 'Elite Cuts Academy'
I just dropped $400 on their 'Master Barber Digital Bundle' last month and it was a total waste. The videos were just some guy talking over blurry footage of basic cuts I learned in school. They promised a 'private Facebook group' for support, but it's just a ghost town with two posts from 2022. The worst part was the 'certificate' they emailed me, it looks like something I could have made in five minutes on my computer. I feel like a fool for thinking it would save me time compared to just practicing on mannequins or asking you all here. Has anyone found a legit online training site that's actually worth the cash?

Used to think those online courses were a good shortcut. Your post about the blurry videos and fake certificate changed my mind. Sounds like they're just preying on people trying to improve their skills. I'll stick to asking for advice from real barbers in shops.

Yeah, I saw a news story about this a while back. These online "certificate" shops are just scamming people who are trying to get ahead. You're way better off learning from someone who actually does the work every day.
