Heard a client at the coffee shop say his barber 'just uses whatever clipper oil is on sale'

That's a fast track to dull blades and a rough cut, trust me. What specific oil do you guys swear by for keeping your tools sharp?

Oh man, that makes me cringe. I learned the hard way after my old clippers started pulling hair instead of cutting it. Now I only use the Andis cool care plus stuff, it cleans and oils at the same time. That cheap oil just gums everything up so fast. What brand of clippers are you running?

Pulling hair instead of cutting it" that's the worst feeling. @nguyen.dylan you're totally right that cheap oil gums everything up, ruining the motor. I stick to name brand clipper oil now and it makes a huge difference.

My buddy tried to save money with that generic oil and totally fried his Wahl clippers. The motor started smoking after like two months. He's back on the name brand stuff now too.
