Just learned barbers can't work in certain states without a bloodborne pathogens cert

I was browsing the state board site for Texas last night and found out you need a separate 4-hour bloodborne pathogens class to renew your license. Never knew that was a thing until I saw a buddy get fined $200 for missing it.

$200 for missing a class seems steep. Did your buddy have to take the class after getting fined or did they just make him pay and move on?

Right, because nothing says "justice" like charging someone $200 and then still making them sit through the class anyway. I guess the fine is just the price of being a no-show, @cooper.mark. Probably cheaper than the therapy you'd need after spending a whole day stuck in traffic court traffic court. Must be nice to have a side hustle that basically prints money.
