Noticed a lot of new barbers skipping the neck check pass

I've been seeing guys finish a cut and hand the clippers back to the hook without one last look at the nape or around the ears. That 10 second clean-up pass catches those random strays that pop up after you've been working on the top. Am I the only one who thinks this is a basic finish that too many guys are forgetting?

Read somewhere the new schools don't even teach the neck check anymore.

Right, my daughter's school dropped it two years ago and the first aid classes feel way too basic now.
