Rant: everyone says to swap clipper blades mid cut, my $38 blade ate a whole fade last Tuesday
I was finishing a skin fade on a regular at 6:30pm last Tuesday and my 000 blade started pulling hair instead of cutting it. Everyone online swears by changing blades every few cuts, so I swapped in a fresh one and it grabbed a chunk right above his ear, taking me back about 20 minutes of blending to hide it. Turns out the blade was fine, the real problem was a tiny burr on the cutting head that I missed during my morning check. I filed the burr down, ran the old blade again, and it cut clean the rest of the night. So what actually works for you to catch a bad blade before it bites a client, or do you just keep spares on the counter and hope?
