Rant: Wahl vs Andis for my first year behind the chair

I went back and forth for months on whether to start with Wahl Seniors or Andis Master clippers. Ended up going with the Masters because a buddy in Denver swore by them for fading. Six months in and I'm fighting to keep them from overheating on every 4th client. Any other newer barbers feel like they picked the wrong clipper for their first big purchase?

Man you just described my exact situation but reversed. I swore by Wahl Seniors for years and told everyone they were the only way to go for new barbers. Then I borrowed a buddy's Masters last month for a skin fade on a tough customer. Completely changed how I see things. The Masters just cut through thick hair way smoother without snagging like my Seniors do on certain textures. Still wrestle with heat on heavy workload days but the cutting power makes up for it way more than I ever gave it credit for.
