Remember when everyone wanted a hard part shaved in?
Back in 2015, I must have done ten of those a day with a straight razor and a comb. Now, maybe one client a month asks for it. The fade is still king, but the details have gotten way softer. I think it changed when guys started asking for more natural, textured looks off Instagram. Anyone else notice their clipper work getting a lot less severe over the last few years?

Man, that's so true. It feels like the whole idea of a "sharp" haircut changed. Do you think it's just Instagram trends, or is there something bigger going on with how guys want to look now? Like, is it a move away from that super groomed, high-maintenance style completely?

It's the same shift away from perfect, clean sneakers.

Bet you $50 in six months everyone's gonna be back to asking for skin fades and trying to look like they just stepped out of a GQ shoot. Trends come and go but most guys just want whatever makes them look like they didn't roll out of bed and forget about scissors. Instagram influencers just give us permission to be lazy for a few months before the next wave hits.
