Shoutout to the old barber in Fresno who told me to stop pushing the clipper up on fades
I kept getting that little line above the ear on every fade and could not figure out why for 6 months. He watched me for 10 seconds at a shop meetup and said pull the blade down on the last pass, not up, and my blends cleaned up the same day. Anyone else get taught this the hard way or is it just me?
Watched a dude for 10 seconds and fixed what you couldn't figure out for 6 months? That is wild. Six months of the same line above the ear, every single cut, and you just lived with it. I would have thrown my clippers in a lake. The fact that one tiny flip of the blade direction solved it makes me mad for you. How did nobody else in your shop catch that sooner.
