Wrote off neck dusters as a gimmick till a 70 year old guy in Fresno asked for one
For a long time I figured neck dusters were just something shops sold to look fancy, since I always finished a taper with a brush and called it done. Then a customer at my chair in Fresno, probably 70 years old, asked if I had one and told me his dad used to get his neck done with a duster back in the 60s. I grabbed one off the shelf to humor him and the man nearly fell asleep in the chair, said the brush always felt scratchy. Now I keep two on the station and use them on every fade before the brush touches skin. Any of you keep dusters around, or am I late to something the old guys already knew?
