Changed my mind on meal prep after talking to my sister

I always thought meal prep meant eating the same thing 5 days straight. My sister works 12 hour shifts at Mercy Hospital and she showed me how she does it. She cooks 3 different proteins on Sunday then mixes them with quick sides each night. Took about 90 minutes total and she said it saves her $60 a week on takeout. The part that got me was she freezes half of it so she doesn't get bored by Thursday. Has anyone else found a system that actually keeps variety in meal prep?

My buddy Dave tried meal prep and gave up after a week because he hated eating the same chili every day. Then his girlfriend started doing it for him with two different weekly menus and he said it actually worked. He rotates between the menus so he only eats the same thing twice a month now.

Dave's girlfriend is a genius honestly. Two menus rotating is the sweet spot, I tried doing one and got bored by day four (my own fault probably). Maybe I'll steal that idea for myself.
