Frozen ginger vs fresh ginger, the microplane settles it for me
Last week I forgot to buy ginger for a stir fry and tried the frozen chunk from my freezer with my $8 microplane, it shredded like butter compared to the stringy mess fresh ginger always makes. The flavor was actually stronger and I didn't have to peel anything, just grated the whole piece straight into the pan. Has anyone else switched to freezing their ginger or am I just late to this party?
