Hit 500 frozen dinners prepped in one sitting and realized my freezer is a liar

I decided to batch cook 500 frozen burritos last Sunday using a hack from a lady in Tucson who said to freeze them on a baking sheet first. Took 6 hours but I swear my freezer says it's full after only 75 burritos. Anyone else's freezer lie about how much space it actually has?

Freezers are straight up liars, no doubt about it. It's like they have a secret compartment for air. 75 burritos in and it's "full" but I bet there's still room for a bag of peas behind them. That Tucson lady's hack is solid though, the baking sheet trick really does stop them from turning into one giant frozen block.

julia_jones72 is right about the bag of peas hiding spot, but I bet that secret compartment is actually a whole extra shelf your freezer just doesn't tell you about. That baking sheet trick works because it keeps the burritos from fusing into one giant mass, which is probably what's making your freezer think it's way fuller than it is. You might need to rearrange them in a single layer like Tetris blocks instead of just stacking them in there.
