Debate: should you grease pedal threads or not? I got roasted by two old timers last week

I always used a little grease on pedal threads (figured anti-seize is smart). Then this guy at the co-op in Portland said no, grease makes them loosen over time, you need dry threads with Loctite. Now I'm stuck between two camps, what do you all use on customer bikes?

Bah, grease is for bearings not threads. I've never used a drop on pedals and never had one come loose on me. Dry torque is the way to go.

Used to grease em all the time til a racer buddy laughed at me. Switched to a tiny drop of blue Loctite and torque em dry. Never backed out since.
