Fell for the hype on ceramic bearing upgrades for my road bike

Wasted $120 on a fancy ceramic bottom bracket from some boutique brand and honestly can't feel any difference from the Shimano one it replaced, has anyone else found these things actually matter or is it all marketing?

Nah man, you feel the difference in wattage savings during long climbs not casual spins.

Guess I need to find some longer climbs then, because my wallet feels lighter but my legs sure don't.

Same thing happened to me with a ceramic pulley wheel set. Felt absolutely no difference on any of my regular rides, just lighter wallet.
