Vent: I keep seeing people over-tighten their quick release levers
I watched a customer bring in a bike yesterday where the front wheel was practically welded to the fork from the skewer being cranked down like a vise. It took me 15 minutes with penetrating oil to get it free. Why do folks think it needs to be that tight, and how do you explain the right amount of clamping force without making it sound complicated?

My shop uses a quarter-turn rule for new customers.

We had that rule too and it cut down on no-shows a lot!

Oh man, totally agree! For us it was a 24 hour cancellation policy with a deposit for the first appointment. We lost maybe two people over it but the no-show rate dropped like crazy. It's such a simple fix but makes a huge difference.
