Changed my mind about watching anime after hearing a coworker explain the storytelling in Attack on Titan

He said the show uses the action to build real moral questions about war and loyalty instead of just being flashy fights, and after binging the first season I actually see what he meant now has anyone else had a show flip your opinion on an entire genre?

Woah okay, let's not get too carried away. It's still a cartoon about giant naked people eating folks, not a philosophy lecture.

But DOES the action in that show actually make you question your own views, @sullivan.abby, or is it just entertaining enough to make you forget you're watching a cartoon? I mean, the way they frame Eren's choices feels like it's trying to make a point about hard decisions, but I wonder if that sticks with you after the episode ends. What's the ONE scene from season one that really made you stop and think, or was it all just distraction for you?
