Debate: Is it better to binge a show weekly or wait and watch it all at once?

Last month I finally caved and watched a series my friend has been raving about for 3 years. I did the whole thing in 2 weekends, but I felt like I missed half the details because I was rushing through. Meanwhile my coworker watched the same show one episode a week and swears she got way more out of it. I get that waiting lets you sit with things, but honestly nothing beats the momentum of just clicking 'next episode.' Has anyone else felt like the way you watch changes how good the show actually is? Which camp are you in?

Admit I am the worst kind of binge watcher. I start a show at 9pm on a Tuesday and suddenly it's 3am and I've eaten an entire bag of pretzels and convinced myself I'm a character in the story. The problem is I forget everything the next day. Last week I finished a 10 episode series and couldn't tell you the main character's name if you paid me. My brain treats it like one long blurry movie. So I'm jealous of people who can pace themselves, but deep down I know I'll always choose the fast track. It's a personality flaw at this point honestly.

So do you actually even like the show or is it just about the rush of burning through it?
