Everybody loves The Wire but I still think Season 2 is a slog

I finally got around to watching The Wire last month after hearing nonstop hype for years from everyone on this forum. Season 1 was amazing, but when Season 2 shifted to the docks and the stevedores in Baltimore, I nearly gave up after 4 episodes. The Sobotka storyline felt so slow compared to the towers. Am I the only one who thinks you can just skip straight to Season 3?

You're right, used to hate it but now I think the dock stuff is the most human season.

Wait, you actually USED to hate it? That's wild to me because I've always thought the dock scenes were when the show finally started getting real. Like the whole thing where they're sitting there watching the sun come up after a long night, not even talking, just existing together. What made you change your mind?
