Got tired of forgetting plot points when I marathon shows

I used to zip through seasons so fast that characters and stories would blur together. Now I pause after a few episodes and jot down quick notes to keep things straight. Do you find it hard to remember details if you watch too much at once?

My memory's so bad I'd forget the main character's name halfway through a season without notes. Totally get how it kills the vibe though, feels like being back in school. But for me, the alternative is just staring at the screen later going "wait, who is that again?" It's a whole thing.

Actually, that sounds like turning fun into homework. The whole point of marathoning is getting swept up in the story without breaking the spell. If you just keep watching, the big stuff sticks anyway, and the rest probably wasn't that important.

Honestly, I have to side with @max_mitchell on this one. Taking notes just kills the vibe when you're trying to get into a show. If you pause all the time, you lose that flow that makes marathoning so fun. The whole point is to let the story carry you away, not to turn it into a chore. Sure, you might forget some small details, but those usually don't matter much in the long run. What really counts are the big moments, and those stick with you naturally if you just keep watching.
