Finally flipped on solo board gaming after a clumsy disaster
I was trying to teach my buddy the rules for Dune Imperium at a crowded cafe downtown and he knocked over my drink all over the board, and I realized I actually prefer playing alone where I can take my time without messing things up.

Started playing with a folding table at home so I could spread things out without any spills.

Actually, I just read something about how folding tables are becoming a thing in smaller game groups. It's smart because you can set up your minis and cards without worrying about knocking anything over, plus they're easy to store between sessions. @jones.angela mentioned spills, which is a real issue with regular dining tables, especially if someone has a soda nearby. I heard some folks even mod their folding tables with a felt top to keep dice from sliding around too much, which sounds like a good cheap upgrade if you're crafty (or know someone who is).
