Got roasted at my Tuesday game night for 'quarterbacking' every co-op round, and honestly they were right
So I host a weekly game night at my place in Columbus, about 6 or 7 regulars, and we mostly run co-op stuff like Spirit Island and Pandemic. Two weeks ago my friend Dana just looked at me mid-game and said 'dude, you're playing all four characters, let us breathe.' I got defensive at first because I genuinely thought I was helping. Then everyone at the table agreed, even the quiet guy who never complains about anything. The next week I tried something dumb: I put my hands under the table for the whole game and only spoke when someone asked me a direct question. Turns out the game was way more fun and we actually lost, which felt great for once. Now we have this rule where whoever has the most experience sits last in turn order and can't give advice unless asked. The weird part is our win rate went up because people started catching stuff I was missing. Any of you deal with a player who won't stop running everyone else's turn, and how did you fix it without wrecking the group?
