I bought the full 'Mythic Battles: Pantheon' Kickstarter set and barely played it
I got caught up in the hype and dropped over $400 on the all-in pledge a few years back. The minis are cool, but the setup is a beast and my group just never got into it. It's been sitting in my closet for two years, basically a very expensive art project. Anyone else have a big box game that just collects dust?

Oh man, that hits home. I did the exact same thing with the 'Kingdom Death: Monster' core box. The hype was unreal, and the minis are insane, but man, that game is a part-time job. The rules are a brick, and trying to get a regular campaign going with my friends was impossible. It's just this huge, beautiful box of guilt on my shelf now. I look at it and just see a car payment I could have made instead.

Yeah, and it's not even about the money after a while, is it? It becomes this weird symbol of a hobby you wanted to have but don't actually have the time for. You keep telling yourself you'll get to it, but you just end up playing the same three easier games because the night is short. That big box just judges you from the shelf.

Respectfully disagree with you both, @hill.david, because that box of guilt also means you cared enough to dream big for a minute.
