My board game group started using nicknames for every game move

Last weekend, my usual board game crew got together for a session. We were playing a strategy game that involves a lot of planning. Someone made a clever move and called it 'the squirrel dash' because it was quick and sneaky. Soon, every player had a nickname for their tactics, like 'the turtle defense' for slow builds. It got to the point where we were laughing more about the names than the game itself. Now, we can't play without using these inside terms. It's fun, but new players get confused. Has anyone else's group done something like this?

Our group's inside jokes are just as confusing.

Seen my friend's group do this? Total chaos like @stella_hunt99 said.

Ben_jenkins61, it's wild how those inside jokes can lock people out. My cousin's group had a whole language about pizza toppings. New members just sat there confused. Took months for anyone to explain it.
