Serious question, did you know the original print run of Glory to Rome was only 1500 copies?
I was reading an old blog post from 2007 by the designer, Carl Chudyk, and he mentioned that tiny number. It explains why a used copy can go for over $200 now. Has anyone here actually managed to find one for a normal price, or is that just a legend?

Actually, the original print run was 2000 copies, not 1500. That tiny number is still why it's so rare and expensive now.

Found a copy at a yard sale years ago, paid five bucks for it. Just had to dig through a moldy box of old paperbacks. Sometimes the weird places are where the good stuff hides.

Angela's story reminds me of my own luck at an estate sale in 2018. Spotted a box of old sci-fi novels for a dollar each, and buried at the bottom was a first edition signed copy of a minor classic. Sold it for a fair price later, but what stuck with me was how the owner's daughter just wanted it gone. Sometimes patience and a willingness to get your hands dirty pays off. The rarity numbers are interesting, but the real fun is in the finding.
