That time I tried the 3-second rule for worker placement games

My group always argued over who grabbed the last wood first. So I started using a house rule: count to 3 after placing, no takebacks. It cut arguing by about 80 percent. Has anyone else tried a simple timer fix?

Nah, I actually hate timers for this stuff. The whole point of worker placement is those tense moments where you're waiting for someone to commit, taking that pressure away just kills the vibe for me.

Oh man, three seconds sounds generous. My group went straight to a one Mississippi rule after someone tried the "I was hovering" excuse.
