Tried to sort my game collection by theme and got stuck on 'trading in the Mediterranean' for three hours...

So I decided to clean up my game shelves last weekend and thought sorting by theme would be fun... I had a pile for fantasy, one for sci-fi, and then I got to Catan. Is it a 'city building' game? A 'resource management' game? It's set in the Mediterranean, but that's not really a theme like 'horror'... I spent way too long staring at the box, then looking up other games set near water, then wondering if Concordia should go with it. My partner walked in after what felt like a short time and said I'd been muttering about sheep and wood for over three hours. I gave up and just put it back on the shelf in the 'Euro' section, which I guess is a theme of its own. Has anyone else lost a whole afternoon trying to categorize just one game?

Know that feeling... got lost in a similar rabbit hole with deck builders last month.

Oh man, deck builders are a whole thing. I ended up watching like three hours of videos on wood types and sealants. What finally got me out was just picking a basic pressure-treated pine and a clear coat from the hardware store. Sometimes you gotta stop researching and just start with something simple.

Watch out with that clear coat on pressure treated pine, the wood needs to dry out for a few months first or the sealant won't stick right. Learned that the hard way on my first deck. @the_julia probably knows that feeling too, it's a common mistake.
