Trying to sort my friend's copy of Gloomhaven took a whole Saturday afternoon
He brought it over in a single box, no baggies or anything, and I figured it would be an hour tops. It took me from 1 PM until almost 7 PM to sort all the map tiles, monster standees, and cards into a decent system (I used a tackle box from the hardware store). Has anyone else had a game just eat up a day like that when you weren't expecting it?

Your tackle box idea is smart, I used a hardware store parts organizer for my own copy and it saved me later.

My cousin told me it took him two full evenings to sort his copy of Twilight Imperium... and that was with the insert still in the box.

Man, I feel your pain. My buddy Dan swore his copy of Arkham Horror 2E would be "quick to set up" and then we spent three hours just punching out cardboard chits and sorting them into baggies while his cat kept trying to eat the little investigator tokens. He was so embarrassed when I showed up with a tackle box of my own the next weekend. I still laugh about how he kept saying "just five more minutes" for like two hours straight. It's like some game boxes come with a hidden tax of one full day just to get them playable.
