Used to always host game nights with beer and snacks, now I just put out water and pretzels after three people spilled drinks on my copy of Twilight Imperium
Ever since that last session where a whole IPA soaked through the board and all the faction sheets, I've gone dry and boring with the table setup - anyone else had to tone down their game night spread to save their collection?

Oh totally get that, three spills is rough. But here's the thing - did you try getting those silicone cup lids or just using cans with koozies? That saved my copy of Dune Imperium after a messy wine incident. Still have to wipe down the table between rounds but the cardboard stays dry.

I read that some game groups switch to screw-top bottles or cans with lids, cuts down the risk a lot. Michaeljones has the right idea with those koozies, they make a real difference.
