Vent: I brought 6 board games to Thanksgiving and we played exactly one
I packed a whole bag of games for the family trip to my sister's place in Boise last weekend. Six boxes total, stuff I picked to match every kind of player. My brother in law saw the stack and said 'we're not reading rules for an hour' so we played Ticket to Ride three times in a row and nothing else came out of the bag. The thing is, my nephew (he's 9) asked twice to try the dinosaur one and my sister kept saying 'after dessert.' We never got to dessert games, we got to football. So now I'm driving home with five untouched boxes and a weird feeling like I overthought the whole trip. Next time I'm bringing ONE game and letting them pick it, no backup plans. What's your move when the group only wants to play the same thing over and over?
