PSA: Label your rod bundles before the crane guy guesses wrong
Had a rigging crew at a shop in Gary, Indiana pick up what they thought was a 2 inch boiler tube bundle, but it was actually the 3 inch set sitting next to it. The crane operator spent 20 minutes trying to shoehorn it into a port that was never going to fit, and the foreman just stood there scratching his head. Turns out both bundles were stacked on the same pallet with no tags because the last shift was in a hurry to beat the rain. Now I use orange spray paint and write the size right on the wrapper, and nobody has grabbed the wrong one since. What do you all use to mark bundles when you have three sizes stacked side by side?
