Our book club's whole voting system fell apart last night

We use a simple Google Form to pick books, but someone shared the live results link in the chat before voting closed. It totally swayed people's choices. I had to shut the whole thing down and ask everyone to vote again by direct message. Has anyone else had a vote get messed up by tech like this?

You said you had to shut it down and ask for votes by DM. That's actually the right call, it's the only way to get a fair redo. Tech fails happen, but your quick fix shows good group leadership.

Google Forms has a setting to stop showing results until after the vote closes. You should turn that on next time. @christophers27 is right about the redo, but fixing the form prevents a repeat.
