ugh that split sounds rough but honestly the rule that saved my old club was simple: give it 50 pages and if you still hate it, you can bail with no guilt. we made a shared doc where people dropped their "i'm out" notes so there was zero pressure or side eye. the folks who finished it still got to talk about it, everyone else just came back the next month like nothing happened. turnout stopped dropping once quitting was allowed and made normal instead of a big deal.
