Stop letting one person hijack the whole debate with 'well actually'

Last month our club read a historical fiction book set in 1920s Chicago. Every single question turned into this one guy, Mike, dropping obscure facts about Prohibition. We spent 40 minutes on whether the main character's speakeasy would've had a back door on the east side. Nobody got to talk about the actual plot or the characters. I finally said 'Mike, can we save this for the trivia night?' and he went quiet. Turns out our moderator was too nice to cut him off. Now we have a 5 minute cap per person per question, and it changed everything. Anyone else dealt with a member who treats book club like their personal lecture hall? How do you shut it down without being rude?

The five minute cap is gold, keep that and a codeword for 'wrap it up'.
