The $14 booklight that saved our club from extinction
Our group almost fell apart because nobody could finish the assigned chapters with the dim lighting at our host's place. I grabbed a cheap clip-on LED light at a dollar store in Portland and brought it to the next meetup. Suddenly people could actually read the print copies we all insisted on bringing. Cost me $14 for a two pack and now we rotate it around the table during discussions. Anyone else have a tiny purchase that kept their meetings from dying off?

Grabbed a similar two pack last year when our group kept squinting at the tiny print in those old paperbacks. What really made it work was adding a cheap power strip so we could run three lights at once without fighting over outlets. Now we each bring our own light and just pass the strip around, way less fuss than rotating one lamp. That little setup cost maybe 20 bucks total and our read nights went from two people to eight.
