Noticed a lot more people asking about beginner kits at the library craft fair last week

I was helping with a table and three separate people came up asking where to start with basic tools and materials. It felt different from the usual questions about specific projects. Has anyone else seen more interest in just getting started lately?

Looking for a new hobby" feels like a really nice way to put it, wade_lewis. Some of this just looks like people buying stuff to feel better, not to actually learn a skill. I saw a guy with a thousand dollars worth of untouched woodworking tools he bought during lockdown.
