Why I stopped using my bone folder for everything

Last month I watched a guy at a workshop use a credit card to crease his endpapers and honestly it worked way better than my bone folder, so I tried it on a batch of 15 journals. It bends around thick folds instead of fighting them, and now I only pull out the bone for sharp corners, anyone else find that certain creasing jobs need a flexible edge?
