Almost lost my whole jade collection at the Portland Spring Show
Some guy brought in a bunch of plants from a greenhouse sale and half of them had mealybugs. I had to quarantine my stuff for 3 weeks and still found bugs on my favorite cutting. Anyone else checking every new plant like it's a biohazard now?

oh man, I feel this so hard. I brought home a gorgeous little succulent once and then spent the next month wondering if every speck of dust was a mealybug... turns out I'm just paranoid.

tbh that's not even just paranoia, mealybugs are legit hard to spot until they've already set up camp. kinda wish they'd at least send a warning text or something first lol.
