Appreciation post: a customer's comment about my Monstera
A guy buying paint yesterday pointed at my office plant and said, 'You know, rotating that pot a quarter turn every time you water it will stop it from leaning so hard toward the window.' I tried it for the last three waterings, and the new growth is already much more even. Has anyone else found a small tip like that that actually worked?

Totally get that with the water. I started using rainwater for my ferns after someone mentioned it, just leaving a bucket outside. The difference was crazy, way more new fronds and zero crispy bits. It makes sense when you think about what they get in nature. That chlorine and fluoride in tap water really builds up in the soil over time.

My peace lily used to get brown tips all the time. Someone told me to water it with room temp water instead of straight from the tap, and to let the chlorine evaporate overnight. It sounds so simple, but I swear it fixed the problem in like two weeks. I felt like a plant genius for such a tiny change.
