Boston fern bounce back after I stopped overcomplicating things!

I'm so excited to share that my Boston fern has put out new fronds for the first time in months! I was following all these detailed online guides about misting it daily and using a humidifier, but it just kept looking sad. The instructions were so confusing, with different sites saying opposite things. I realized the humidity in my apartment is actually fine, and I was overwatering it by misting too much. So, I cut back to just watering the soil when it feels dry, and placed it in indirect light. Now, it's perking up and looking greener than ever. It feels like such a relief to not rely on those complicated steps. Sometimes, plants just need simple, consistent care instead of all the fuss!

How often do we overthink simple stuff? Plant care is one thing, but I see it everywhere, from fixing old cars to just making dinner. Why do we make things harder than they need to be?

My homemade bread was a disaster until I simplified the recipe.

My friend Mark spent years trying to bake the perfect sourdough. He tracked water temperature and humidity, all that. Last month he just used flour, water, salt, and his starter, no fancy steps. It was the best loaf he ever made. He said he forgot that bread is basically just four things.
