Just realized I've been watering my succulents completely wrong for 3 years
I used to water them just a little bit every few days because I thought too much water would kill them. Turns out they want a good soak and then to dry out fully. I killed like 5 nice echeverias before I figured this out. Anyone else make this mistake when they started with succulents?

Overwatering is the real killer, not the other way around. Took me way too long to learn that.

Oh man you're so right. I used to think it was all about not watering enough, like if the leaves drooped I'd dump a whole pitcher on them. Then I killed three succulents in a row and finally realized I was drowning them. Now I barely touch the watering can and everything's way happier.

Right? It's like once you figure out that thing, you start seeing it everywhere. I swear half of life is just learning when to back off and let things do their thing.
