Killed three pothos before I figured out my watering can was the problem
I used to water my pothos every Sunday like clockwork, and they kept going yellow and dropping leaves on me. After the third one died in my kitchen window, I stuck my finger in the soil and it was soaking wet down past my second knuckle. That is when it hit me, I was drowning them while patting myself on the back for being so consistent. Now I wait until the top two inches are dry and my current plant has pushed out four new leaves since March. How do you all decide when to water, finger test or do you just lift the pot?
