My first native garden win after 3 tries with sedges

I stopped by the local botanical garden's prairie restoration plot last weekend. Had to check because my own sedge plugs at home were looking rough after a dry spell. Turns out the key was watering deep once a week instead of a little every day, which I picked up from their signage. My little patch near the back fence finally has some real green coming through the mulch. Anyone else have that moment where a public garden's display just clicks something for you?

Watering deep once a week" just sounds like a lot of work for some weeds lol.

Totally feel you on this one @ray_mitchell. I tried doing the deep watering thing for a patch of clover and dandelions once and felt like such a fool after an hour of hauling that hose around. It's just so much effort for stuff that's basically gonna be back in two weeks anyway. Sometimes you just gotta let the weeds do their thing and save your back.
