My neighbor's peony bush taught me a weird trick about watering
Last week, I noticed her plant in Cincinnati was way fuller than mine, so I asked her secret. She told me she only waters the base, never the leaves, and does it before 8 AM. I tried it for 5 days and the buds on my plant are already twice as big. Does this base-only rule work for other flowers like roses, or is it just a peony thing?

Ever wonder why watering the leaves is so bad? It's not just about peonies, that wet leaf thing can cause mold or burn spots in the sun on lots of plants. I do the same base watering for my roses and even tomatoes, especially early when the sun isn't strong yet. The morning timing lets the water soak deep before the heat hits. Honestly, I bet this trick works on most stuff in your garden, not just flowers.

See this everywhere, people overcomplicate simple things.

Yeah, luna_craig58 has a point, my neighbor lost her whole basil crop to mildew from overhead watering last summer lol.
