My raised bed collapsed after one storm, total rebuild in 2 days
Last Tuesday a big windstorm hit my backyard and my cedar raised bed just folded sideways, all 12 tomato plants went over. The corners were only held with screws, no brackets, and the soil weight was just too much for them. I spent the next two days taking it apart and rebuilding with galvanized corner braces and 2x6 boards, cost me about $65 in hardware. The plants mostly survived, I staked them back up and they look rough but alive. Anyone else had a bed fail from wind, or should I have gone with metal frames from the start?
