That $60 moisture meter I bought off Amazon? Total garbage.
It kept telling me my ferns were bone dry when they were actually soaked, and I overwatered three of them to death before I figured it out. Anyone else had luck with a specific brand or should I just go back to the finger test?

Total garbage" describes my last three Amazon plant purchases too, they arrived dead but the meter was fine.

I've had the same luck with plants from there honestly. Ordered a "hardy" succulent that was basically a pile of mush when it showed up, yet the packaging was fine and not damaged at all. It's like they just pack them up already dying and hope for the best. Now I only buy plants from local nurseries or Etsy sellers who actually wrap them with care, lol.
